Everyone's building AI. Almost no one's building it lean. Every request an agent makes ships mountains of context to the model — and most of it is noise. You pay for it, you wait for it, and it doesn't make your output any better.
Paritok is the open-source model layer that fixes this, routing only the context that matters to the model. In a real SWE benchmark, that's 74% fewer input tokens per request — measured, not estimated. Real requests, real context, real reduction.
This hackathon challenges you to build a great AI project and make it lean — proving you can cut cost without cutting quality.
What Makes It Special
Paritok is open-source and built for the way people actually build AI today — no rewrites required. For this hackathon, everyone builds on Paritok's hosted GPU server:
- Point your project at Paritok's hosted GPU instead of running a model on your own machine. It's faster than a laptop GPU, and it's completely free for all hackers.
- It comes with a dashboard showing exactly how many tokens and how much cost you've saved — in real time.
- Because every request runs through the hosted server, your token savings are tracked automatically, so proving your results is effortless.

Requirements
What to Build
An AI-powered project that integrates Paritok to reduce token usage. It can be an agent, a dev tool, a RAG app, or anything LLM-powered — as long as Paritok is doing real work in it and you can show the token savings.
What to Submit
1. Project URL
A publicly accessible link that lets judges easily test your project — a live demo, a hosted app, or your repo with clear setup instructions.
2. Public Code Repository
A URL to your public, open-source code repository for judging and testing.
- Must contain all source code, assets, and full instructions needed to run the project.
- Must be public and include an Apache 2.0 license file, detectable and visible at the top of the repository page (in the About section).
- Must credit Paritok with a link — add a line to your README, e.g.: Built with [Paritok](https://github.com/Paritok-official/paritok-4b-v1).
- (Optional) Add a Paritok badge to the top of your README: [](https://github.com/Paritok-official/paritok-4b-v1)
3. Paritok Account — The email you used to sign up on the Paritok website and create your API key. This lets us match your submission to your dashboard usage and verify Paritok is running through the hosted GPU server. (Required.)
4. Text Description — Summarize your project and, most importantly, how you used Paritok. Examples: what problem it solves and why you built it; where Paritok's hosted GPU made a difference; the most impressive thing you built; what technologies, models, or data you used.
5. Demonstration Video (under 3 minutes) — Show your project functioning and explain how you used Paritok and what your project does for its users. Upload to YouTube or Vimeo with public visibility, and paste the link. No copyrighted music or third-party trademarks without permission.
6. Optional: Sample Outputs
If your project generates artifacts such as code, queries, reports, or transformations, include examples in your repository (e.g., an examples/ folder) so judges can evaluate quality without running the code.
7. Social Media Link (optional but encouraged)
Publish a piece of content about your project and hackathon experience — a blog post, video, or podcast — on a platform like X, YouTube, Medium, or dev.to, and tag it with #BuiltWithParitok. The top 3 posts will each win a $50 Social Blitz Prize.

Use of Paritok
How meaningfully does the project use Paritok to cut token usage? Strong submissions don't just add it — they show a real, measured reduction inside a genuine workflow. -
Technical Execution
Quality of implementation, robustness, and whether the project actually works end-to-end. Does the code do what the submission claims, and is it built well enough for someone else to run and rely on? -
Originality
How creative and novel is the approach? Go beyond wrapping Paritok around a hello-world app — build it into a real product, not a thin demo that could be any project with Paritok bolted on. -
Real-World Usefulness
Would a real developer, team, or company running AI at scale see clear value in this? Submissions don't need to be production-ready, but they should solve a problem practitioners actually face. -
Submission Quality
Quality of the demo video, written description, and README. A judge should be able to understand what the project does, why it matters, and find clear setup instructions to try it themselves. -
Bonus: Meaningful Open-Source Contribution
Thoughtful feedback and contributions to Paritok — bug reports, feature ideas, documentation, or well-researched proposals, submitted as issues — will be looked on favorably.
